I am Sumanta Roy Chowdhury, with 29 years of job experience in Electrical power Transmission, Substation and Distribution works.
Passed out Bachelor of Electrical engineering from Jadavpur University in 1993, my long journey has been enriched by famous organizations like CESC Ltd, ABB Ltd, EMCO Ltd, Jyoti Structures Limited, Vijay Electricals Ltd, Techno Electric Ltd etc in domestic arena and Energy Power Contracting Co Ltd, KEC International Limited and Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited in abroad.
Since 2010 I have been working abroad in countries like Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Cameroon, Botswana, Paraguay and Tunisia. In February this year I resigned from the post of Deputy General Manager Projects in Kalpataru due to the serious illness of my father.
With my 29 years of experience in Distribution, Sub-station and Overhead Transmission line I am now able to independently handle any of the following areas:
• Execution Planning, Monitoring and Control with full commercial ownership and coordination
• QA QC monitoring and auditing
• Tendering
• Marketing
• Risk Management
• Cost Control
• Data Analysis and interpretation
I have done PMP certification which is valid till February 24, Six Sigma green belt in Quality Management and completed Diploma in Business Finance from ICFAI. I was trained Safety by OSHA and done Diploma in Operational Management from IGNOU.
International Power giants like Saudi ARAMCO, DEWA, NG and SEC have my name in their database as approved Project Manager.
I have also completed two transmission lines (5.5km each) of 115 KV and 230 KV in Saudi Arabia under Saudi ARAMCO from scratch to energization and have been in close coordination with the TL team all through my career.
